Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

The person Jesus is the greatest mystery revealed of all time. He is both God and man. His conception was a miracle: the virgin became pregnant and gave birth to the God-man.

Jesus liked to call Himself ‘the son of man’. He knew that he was God, and as God’s son he likened himself to ‘the son of man’. A God-person, born out of a human. What a mystery! God Himself became flesh. He went into the human race, and lived the life as man was supposed to live. He showed us how we were supposed to be and what we were supposed to be doing. He lived the life none of us could ever live – showing us what can be and should be.

Jesus is God with us. And when you are born again, Jesus is God with you. And God in you. Christ in you, the hope of glory.

What a great mystery!
