Joshua 4:6-7 We will use these stones to build a memorial. In the future your children will ask you, ‘What do these stones mean?’ Then you can tell them, ‘They remind us that the Jordan River stopped flowing when the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant went across.’ These stones will stand as a memorial among the people of Israel forever. NLT
We serve a generational God who will extend your many blessings to your future generation!
The passage says that the future children will “ask,” which means that there should be a clear sign of God in your life. Future generations or people around you will ask why your values, standards, speeches are different from the world’s; and that’s your opportunity to testify that: “We are who we are because of the grace of God.”
In other words, you will face obstacles like the Jordan river, but when you have Christ as the centre of your life then you won’t have to undergo life, but God’s mighty hands will guide your every step, for you to then boldly share your testimony so that people of the earth might know that the hand of the Lord is indeed powerful (Joshua 4:24)
What memory are you holding on or sharing with the next generation? Does your testimony bring glory to God, or are your testimonies based on fear?
Remember, Proverbs 18:21 says that death and life are in the power of the tongue, choose to leave a legacy of life through Jesus.
LIVE WITH CHRIST TO GIVE LIFE TO OTHERS!
