Numbers 33:2 At the Lord’s direction, Moses kept a written record of their progress. These are the stages of their march, identified by the different places where they stopped along the way. (NLT)
Numbers 33 elaborates on the different places the people of Israel camped before entering the promised land. Just like the Israelites, the Christian life is a journey that could have two facades:
Firstly, you might be camping at a great place right now, but be careful not to stay on the way like the tribe of Reuben and Gad did in Numbers 32. They settled for what looked like an excellent camp at the moment, but it was not God’s best for them.
On the other hand, you might also be camping in an unstable place filled with pain and disappointment. No matter where you are in this process of life, remember to focus your vision on God’s promises.
God already proclaimed blessings over your life even though you will make many stops along the way. The great news is that God wants to prosper you and not to harm you; Jesus wants to give you hope and a future here on earth and in heaven.
It doesn’t matter where you are camping as long as Jesus is by your side; you will always be moving forward!
