Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, But we will remember and trust in the name of the Lord our God. (AMP)
What we rely on during troubles reveals where our faith is. Some trust in their jobs, partners, parents or even themselves but everything on this earth is temporary (Ecclesiastes 1). On the other hand, David is teaching us to praise God for He is the only one worthy of celebration for our many victories.
Trusting in the name of Jesus is believing that God is with us and knows all of our needs. When we give Jesus the control of our lives, he promised that he would grant our heart’s desires and make all our plans succeed.
Nevertheless, it is essential to evaluate whether our heart’s desires bring glory to God because the posture of our hearts will be reflected in everything we do. Fully surrendering our hearts to God means that everything we desire is for His glory.
My prayer today is that no matter the circumstances, you choose to put your faith in Jesus Christ and desire to live for God’s glory.
