Psalms 42:11 & Psalms 43:5 Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again— my Savior and my God! (NLT)
David never held back anything from God; he told God how he felt and everything that was going on in his life. God already knows what you are going through; he listens and delights in your prayers.
Why are you discouraged? Discouragement and disappointment come from a weary heart. Yet a weary soul tends to put fear/doubt over God. What we can learn from King David is that it’s not about how we feel or what we are experiencing today, but it’s about trusting God and only God.
We all know that it’s easier said than done! However, the Holy Spirit is here to help us in every step we take.
Don’t let the enemy kill the hope in you. Wherever you find yourself in life and in your walk with God, I encourage you to say these words with faith and repeat them out loud: I WILL PUT MY HOPE IN GOD! I WILL PRAISE HIM AGAIN.
Remember: Just because you are going through a rough time doesn’t mean God is not there! Thus, talk to God, read His words and put your hope in Jesus for the Lord God is our eternal Rock (Isaiah 26:4).
