I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live

Galations 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

There are truths and there are facts, and these two can diametrically oppose each other. The fact is: I am sick. The truth is: I am healed. The fact is: I am a sinner. The truth is: I am a saint. The fact is: I am blind. The truth is: I can see. The fact is: I am barren. The truth is: I have been made a father of many.

God’s truth always overrides earthly facts. When Paul says “I no longer live” he is referring to that truth. We can count ourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Our earthly nature has already died. And then Paul continues: “the life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God”.

In other words: the life I now live in the body, and will continue to live in the spirit when I shed this earthen vessel, I live by faith. Faith is my oxygen. Faith is what keeps me going. Here on this earth. And happily ever after.
